This programme is designed for individuals that wish to deliver drugs and substance awareness training.

5 Days classroom or 1 Day classroom plus Distance Learning Package

Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) and the Certificate in Drugs and Substance Awareness

This course combines will raises awareness of the risk of performance being affected due to the effects of drugs or alcohol.

• Develop knowledge of commonly used drugs and substances and be able to regognise the signs of use
  
• Develop knowledge of the effects that drugs substances can have on individuals and how this can impact on performance
• Increase the learner's confidence to address drug and substance misuse in an appropriate manner
• Dispel hearsay and myths surrounding drugs and substances
• Develop awareness of the classification of drugs and substances
• Develop awareness of responsibilities towards health and safety
• Gain understanding of how social and other factors can have an impact on use and misuse of drugs and substances
